I got my Eco-eye Elite energy monitor today. I took a few pics. First with the iMac turned on (incorporating tv dual tuner)

With the shower on



8.67kWh (golly!). Lastly with the shower on medium rather than high:



So less than half the power. Food for thought.

St. Pancras

I'm off to Edinburgh in June and took a bus up to Kings Cross yesterday to pick up my train tickets (I saw Age of Stupid last Saturday which confirmed my resolve not to fly) and I decided to pick up the new "Thameslink" service from there home. It's new in the sense that they have re-established the South-East route to Sevenoaks which goes through Catford.

I got to the platform and I had to smile. It had such a long platform, it felt like I was on the RER in Paris.






Haw de haw. I enjoyed a Parisen toasted Ciabatta on the way home.
